A delegation from 12 Spanish businesses will visit Vietnam from Mar.23-28 to inquire into possibilities of becoming key providers oftransport technology solutions for Vietnam.
Vietnam and Thailand are two stopovers on their trip to surveythe Asian market, said the Spanish Association of Manufacturers andExporters of Equipment and Services for the Railway Industry (MAFEX) –the organiser of the trip.
In each country, thedelegation plans to meet representatives of transport managementagencies, to express their keen interest in projects to moderniserailway infrastructure and improve the quality of urban transport. Inaddition, the delegation will meet local businesses to establishcooperative relations.
According to MAFEX, Vietnamattracts Spain ’s railway businesses as it has a plan on railwaydevelopment, including a possibility to link railway routes to Cambodiaand China in future.
In April 2010, Vietnam and Spainsigned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in transport infrastructurecooperation during a visit to Spain by Transport Minister Ho NghiaDung.
In another development, a delegation of 15 Spanishbusinesses will visit Vietnam on Mar. 26-27 as part of its tour tostudy the Asian market, including Indonesia and Thailand . The touris arranged by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tarragona cityin Catalunya.-VNA
