Hanoi (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived in Hanoi on December 3, concluding his official visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The visit produced special success, becoming a major highlight on the two countries' bilateral agenda in 2021, creating a new motivation for the Vietnam- Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in all fields.

One of the most important outcomes of the visit is the successful talks between the two State leaders, during which the Russian President affirmed that Russia considers Vietnam a leading strategic partner in the region.

President Phuc underlined that Vietnam always treasures its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia.

In the joint vision statement released following the talks, the two sides reiterated their determination to further strengthen the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership until 2030.


The two sides will coordinate with each other to guarantee security, safety, and freedom of navigation and overflight, and unimpeded trade. They support self-restraint, no use or threats to use force, and peaceful settlement of disputes among relevant sides in line with the common principles and standards of international law, including the principles in the UN Charter and the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Vietnam and Russia support the full and effective implementation of the 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and welcome efforts to soon adopt a code of conduct in the waters.

In their meetings with the Vietnamese leader, other Russian leaders agreed that the visit has generated a new motivation for the development of bilateral ties, and its success will contribute to opening up a new period of strong, comprehensive and long-term growth of the relationship between the two countries.

Within the visit’s framework, a number of cooperation agreements were signed between the two Governments as well as among ministries, sectors, localities and businesses of both sides.

Apart from further lifting up the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height across all fields in the new period, the visit also affirmed the loyal friendship and special ties between Vietnam and Russia./.

In addition to Tai Kwun, Hong Kong is home to several other historic landmarks linked to President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities in the early 20th century, including Sung Wong Toi Park, where a stone from Sung Wong Toi Hill marks the site where he convened the conference leading to the establishment of the CPV. Vietnam always treasures bilateral relations with Croatia: FM

Vietnam, Croatia seek stronger law enforcement cooperation

Indian Defence Minister pays official visit to Vietnam
