State President to attend UN’s MDG Summit

State President Nguyen Minh Triet will attend the UN High-level Plenary Meeting on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG Summit) to be convened in New York from Sept. 20-22.

NA’s 9th session set to make landmark institutional changes

Vietnam, Sri Lanka vow to enhance ties in more open, breakthrough direction

Noting that Vietnam and Sri Lanka still have great potential in economic, trade and investment collaboration, the two leaders vowed to take stronger measures to increase two-way trade and investment, aiming for bilateral trade turnover of 1 billion USD, and considering the possibility of negotiating and signing a bilateral free trade agreement when conditions permit.

15th National Assembly convenes 9th session
