Suspected drug traffickers arrested in An Giang province

– Border guards in thesouthern province of An Giang have arrested two men who were transporting 40kgof white crystal suspected to be crystal meth from Cambodia to Vietnam.

The men are An Ngoc Ha, 35, residing in Nguyen Lycommune, Ly Nhan district, northern Ha Nam province, and Nguyen Van Tai, 20, inDong Phuong commune, Kien Thuy district, the northern port city of Hai Phong.

They, together with the 53-year-olddriver, Vo Van Beo, from An Phuoc commune, An Phu district, An Giang province,were caught in Quoc Thai commune, An Phu district on May 8 night.

Ha and Tai confessed thatthey came to Cambodia on May 6 to transport the drugs to get a total payment of65 million VND (2,800 USD).

Competent agencies arecompleting procedures for further investigation and legal proceedings for the case./.
