Hanoi (VNA) – The term for tax and land leasepayment worth about 30 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) has been extended in asupport package for enterprises and business households hit by COVID-19outbreak, the Finance Ministry said on March 6.
The ministry added that it will work closely with relevant ministriesand agencies to ask the government to promptly issue a decree on the extensionof payment term of added value tax, individual income tax, and land lease tax foraffected sectors such as tourism, transportation, hospitality, garment andfootwear.
It also coordinated with units concerned to review theGovernment’s proposal to reduce input fees for production and trade.
On February 28, the ministry issued Notice No.2155/BTC-CST requiringministries and ministry-level agencies to review fees associated with servicesunder their management, and suggesting them reduce fees to support thoseaffected by the outbreak.
During the Government’s meeting for February, the PrimeMinister also agreed with the Finance Ministry’s proposal on support packagefor enterprises and business households./.
Deputy PM urges SBV to speed up settlement of bad debts
The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) needed to speed up the settlement of non-performing loans (NPLs) to bring down the bad debt ratio of the entire banking system, including both NPLs owned by credit institutions and the Vietnam Asset Management Company (VAMC), to below 3 percent by 2020.
