Three foreign education quality accreditation centres licensed in Vietnam

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son has signed a decision allowing three foreign centres for education quality accreditation to operate in Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Minister of Educationand Training Hoang Minh Son has signed a decision allowing three foreign centresfor education quality accreditation to operate in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Foundation for International BusinessAdministration Accreditation (FIBAA), the Agency for QualityAssurance (AQAS) and the Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes inEngineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN), which arebased in Germany, will operate in Vietnam for five years.

Of the organisations, ASIIN and AQAS have been recognised by the GermanAccreditation Council.

FIBAA was licensed to implement evaluation and recognition of highereducation establishments and programmes in the fields of law,business, management, social science and social and behavioral sciences.

Meanwhile, ASIIN will provide evaluation and recognition of higher education institutions and trainingprogrammes specialising in natural sciences, engineeringand statistics, computing and information technology, educational science, andteacher training.

AQAS is allowed to evaluate and recognise higher educationinstitutions and training programmes at all levels in line with Vietnam’sregulations./.
