Transport Minister named Secretary of Da Nang City’s Party Committee

Member of the Party Central Committee and Transport Minister Truong Quang Nghia will take the position of Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.

Da Nang (VNA) – Member of the Party CentralCommittee and Transport Minister Truong Quang Nghia will take the position ofSecretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.

The appointment was made under the Politburo’s decision whichwas announced at a conference in the city on October 7.

Speaking at the event, Politburo member and head of theParty Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh said duringthe 2015-2020 tenure, the Standing Board and the Secretary of the municipalParty Committee committed wrongdoings that have hurt the Party’s prestige.

Chinh asked the board to unite to fulfill tasks assigned bythe Party and people and called on former leaders and local residents tocontribute to the development of the city.

Nghia,for his part, vowed to do his best together with the board to develop the city.He will replace Nguyen Xuan Anh, who was dismissed fromthe positions of Secretary of the Da Nang municipal Party Committee, member ofthe municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board and the municipal PartyCommittee for the 2015-2020 tenure. -VNA
