HCMCity (VNA) - Vietjet will participate in trialling theInternational Air Transport Association (IATA) Travel Pass, a mobile app tomanage digital health credentials in order to bring the best experiences tocustomers.
TheIATA Travel Pass will help passengers manage their travel health credentials inline with the prevailing government requirements for COVID-19 tests orvaccination.
Itconsists of four modules – a global registry of health requirements, a globalregistry of testing centres, a lab app to securely share test and vaccinationcertificates with passengers, and a contactless travel app that enablespassengers to create a digital passport and manage their travel documentationdigitally.
Atall times, travellers remain in control of their data with their privacyprotected as the IATA Travel Pass does not store any data centrally.

TheIATA Travel Pass team has been working closely with Vietjet – an IATA member,and the relevant Vietnamese authorities, as well as with other IATA members andgovernments to ensure the product could support and facilitate safeinternational travel.
Beforemaking a flight, passengers download the IATA Travel Pass application, fill ininformation, and take a COVID-19 test at designated facilities. They willreceive an “OK to Travel” if their travel health credentials meet thedestination’s requirements./.
