President of the Mexican Institute for Friendship and Cooperationwith Vietnam Virgilio Caballero made the affirmation at a recentreception in Mexico City for Nguyen Duy Cuong, member of thePresidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and PermanentVice President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association (VCFA).

He said that Mexico is one of the two Latin American countries building two statues of President Ho Chi Minh.

He suggested the two sides consider building the statues of lateMexican President Benito Juarez in Hanoi and late President VicenteGuerrero in Hai Phong city.

Caballero expressed wish to promote the images of the Vietnamese land and people on mass media in Mexico .

For his part, Cuong agreed to strengthen friendship activities,including the exchange of experience and visits, thus expanding thefriendship and cooperation between the two nations.

Earlier, the VCFA leader worked with President of the Mexico-VietnamFriendship Parliamentarians’ Group Pedro Vazquez, who is also aPolitburo member of the Labour Party of Mexico./.
