Vietnam, Argentina seek to boost industrial ties

A delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh paid a working visit to Argentina from Nov. 4-7 to boost bilateral industrial and trade relations between the two countries.

The visit also aims to prepare forthe meeting of the Vietnam-Argentina Inter-Governmental Committeescheduled to take place early next year.

At thedelegation’s meetings with Argentinean Secretary of Industry and TradeEduardo Bianchi and head of the international cooperation departmentJuan Peyrou, the two sides noted with pleasure the multifaceteddevelopment between the two countries, with two-way trade recording aten-fold increase in the past decade.

They agreedto step up technical cooperation in trade protection and exchange ofmarket information and defined prioritised areas for cooperation such asinvestment, renewable energy, chemicals, oil and gas, andbiotechnology.

During its stay in Argentina, theVietnamese delegation also held working sessions with IMPSA industrygroup, Enarsa state power company, the Argentina Footwear IndustryChamber and local businesses./.
