Vietnam calls for more investments from UAE

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Government stands ready to create allpossible conditions for foreign investors, including those from the United ArabEmirates (UAE), Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung told UAE Minister ofEconomy Sheikh Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri in Hanoi on October 15.

TheVietnamese official rejoiced at the rapid development and outcomes of thefriendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE, especiallythe bilateral economic, trade and investment ties.

Dungexpressed his hope that more businesses from the UAE will invest in projects inVietnam in such areas as energy infrastructure, logistics, oil and gas,renewable energy, energy saving, support industries, material production, farmproduce processing, food, labour, finance, tourism, culture, sports,construction and aviation transportation.

Hecalled on the UAE to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese living andworking in the country.

Thehost highly valued the role and operation of the Vietnam-UAE Inter-governmentalCommittee, especially results of the committee’s fourth meeting in Abu Dhabilast April, under the chair of Minister Bin Saeed Al Mansouri and VietnameseMinister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh.

Vietnam wishes to enhance the sharing of information about policies,regulations and investment opportunities in each country with the UAE, whileincreasing trade promotion activities in respective markets, Dung said.

Forhis part, Minister Bin Saeed Al Mansouri said the UAE considers Vietnam themost important strategic partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN).

Thereremain great investment opportunities in Vietnam, he said, adding that the UAEhas invested in logistics, seaports and real estate in the country and willexplore investment opportunities in other spheres like digital andknowledge-based economy.

Alongsidecooperation potential in tourism, food processing is also an area in which theUAE is interested and wishes to cooperate with Vietnam, the minister said.

Heaffirmed that the UAE is willing to share experience and promote cooperationconcerning strategies to reform and diversify the economy, and develop thedigital and knowledge-based economy./.

NA Standing Committee inspects election preparations in Ca Mau

In Ca Mau, 13 candidates have been introduced for the National Assembly, 73 for the provincial People’s Council, and 1,469 for commune-level People’s Councils.
