Vietnam and China agreed to shortly sign an agreement on navigation at the mouth of the Bac Luan River at the end of the sixth round of talks on the matter in Beijing on August 11.
Following discussions on contents of differences, the two sides concurred on all articles and signed the draft documents on the “agreement on boats and ships” and the attached “regulations of navigation”.
The two sides agreed to quickly complete verification of the draft agreement based on their respective countries’ law and early hold the next round of talks to prepare for the signing of the agreement.
The conclusion of talks and early signing of the agreement on navigation at the mouth of Bac Luan river and the agreement on cooperation on, exploitation and protection of tourism resources at Ban Gioc Waterfall within this year is expected to boost economic exchange, trade, tourism and cooperation between border localities of the two countries, demonstrating their joint resolve to build a Vietnam-China borderline of peace, stability, friendship and cooperation.-VNA
Vietnam, China ink deal on Bac Luan 2 bridge
The Ministries of Transport of Vietnam and China signed an agreement and a protocol on building Bac Luan 2 bridge connecting Mong Cai in northern coastal Quang Ninh province with Dongxing in China’s Guangxi province.
