Havana (VNA) – The prosecution sectors of Vietnam and Cuba have agreed to boost the exchange of information on non-traditional and trans-national crimes and soon ink a bilateral judiciary support agreement in 2017-2018.

This was reached during talks between Le Minh Tri, Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam and Darío Delgado Cura, Prosecutor-General of the Cuban Supreme Procuracy during the former’s working visit to Cuba from Dec. 4-9.

They reviewed the sectors’ cooperation in 2015-2016 and said it was productive, contributing to cementing the two countries’ special relations.

In 2017-2018, the two sides will continue exchanging high-level visits and speeding up the sharing of grassroots experience and personnel training.

The agreements were written down in a document inked by the officials after the talks.

While in Cuba, Tri and his entourage met with senior Cuban officials, including José Ramón Balaguer, head of the Commission for External Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and María Esther Reus González, Justice Minister.

They laid wreath at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Havana and paid floral tribute to National Hero José Martí and historical revolutionary leader Fidel Castro in the province of Santiago de Cuba./.
