Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Ninth Congress opens in Hanoi
The ninth Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (2019-2024 tenure) opened in Hanoi on Sept. 19 under the theme “Solidarity-Democracy- Innovation-Development.”

Being led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front represents and protects the lawful rights and interests of Vietnamese people.
A delegation attending the ninth Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)'s Congress, led by Tran Thanh Man, VFF Central Committee Chairman, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum on Sept.18.
Delegates to the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) laid a wreath in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on September 18 morning, before the opening session of the congress.
After national reunification, the front organizations of the two regions were merged into one, called Vietnam Fatherland Front to meet requirements and tasks of national construction and safeguard.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) will better fulfill its role in enhancing the great national unity bloc and serving as a bridge linking the Party and State with the people, VFF Central Committee President Tran Thanh Man has said.
The first working session of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) was held in Hanoi on September 18 to look into a work reviewing report and preparations for the opening ceremony of the congress on September 19 morning.
