A delegation from the Vietnam National Drama Theatre has recently paid a visit to Japan to expand cooperation and enhance mutual understanding with partners before implementing a joint artistry project.
At the workshop to exchange drama profession experience, Director of the theatre Nguyen Quang Vinh, who led the delegation, briefed Japanese partners on the history and development of the Vietnamese drama while expressing his admiration for Japanese artists and their performance and responsibility.
Japanese artists voiced their concerns on social issues reflected in scenarios and artist training in Vietnam.
The hosts also informed the Vietnamese delegation of their dramas in modern day.
The Vietnam National Drama Theatre and the Tokyo Engeki Ensemble and Black Tent theatres will collaborate to carry out a three-year art project involving artists performing in both nations.
The project, currently under financial appraisal by the Japan Foundation, is expected to enrich cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to elevating the friendship between the two nations.-VNA
