Vientiane (VNA) - A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Organisation Commission held talks with their Lao counterparts in Vientiane on August 19.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Nguyen Thanh Tam, member of the CPV Central Committee and deputy head of the commission and the Lao delegation was headed by Boudsadi Thanameung, member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and deputy head of the committee's organisation commission.

For his part, Boudsadi Thanameung lauded the effective cooperation between the two commissions, highlighting achievements of the LPRP in Party building, including preparations for congresses at all levels, organisational restructuring, and enhancing the quality of cadres and Party members.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation will meet leaders of Vientiane province on August 20 and pay a courtesy call to the head of the LPRP Organisation Commission on August 21 before returning to Vietnam./.
