The delegation had working sessions with the Institute of SocialResearch at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) inMexico City and the University of Emilio Zapata in Monterrey to discussthe possibility of partnership in several areas of mutual interest.
During the meetings, leaders of the Mexican universities hailed hugepotentials for cooperation between the two sides, saying that they hopeto work together with Vietnamese universities in training, publishingbooks and text books, delegation exchange and organising scienceconferences.
Both sides agreed to push for the earlysigning of cooperation agreements within the framework of theVietnam-Mexico cooperation agreement in culture, education and sports.
The delegation was also warmly received by SenatorAlberto Anaya Gutierrez, General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party(PT) and President of the Mexico-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’Group.
The Mexican senator was delight at thepositive outcomes of the delegation’s visit to Mexico and suggested thetwo sides to soon draw up plans for cooperation in 2015.
