Vietnam pushes for stronger links with Ecuador

Receiving Ecuador’s Ministerof Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration Ricardo Patino Aroca inHanoi on June 24, PM Dung stressed that the Vietnamese Governmentbacks the implementation of agreements reached during the visit.

He suggested the two nations intensify the exchange of all-leveldelegations, support each other at international forums and stronglypromote economic, trade, investment and tourism cooperation.

PMDung expressed his hope that Ecuador will facilitate Vietnameseinvestment in the country, especially in telecommunications.

Vietnam stands ready to share its experience in national socio-economic development with Ecuador, said PM Dung.

Minister Aroca said his visit aims to further cement cooperation withVietnam in various realms, particularly in economics, trade andinvestment.

He recommended the two sides promptly sign aneconomic cooperation deal and open embassies in each country to bolsterbilateral and multifaceted links.

The guest said he hopes thetwo sides will further enhance the exchange of all-level delegations andshare economic development experience.

The same day, theEcuadorean minister was also welcomed by National Assembly ViceChairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, who expressed her belief that the visitwill make great contributions to the development of the friendship andsolidarity between the two countries.

The Vice Chairwomanaffirmed Vietnam's foreign policy of multilateralism anddiversification. She said Vietnam treasures its friendship andcooperation with Latin American countries, including Ecuador .
She said she hopes the parliaments of the two countries will increasecooperation and experience exchanges both bilaterally andmultilaterally.

She suggested that the Ecuadorean ministerexert more efforts to seek measures to boost ties between the twocountries and parliaments.

The two parliaments shouldincrease delegation exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding andcreating opportunities for legislators of both countries to shareinformation and their experiences, she said.

In reply, Ricardo Patino Aroca applauded Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements.

He said he hopes the two sides will further their sound cooperationby effectively implementing the reached agreements in various fields,including economics, trade, agriculture, and science and technology,while strengthening cooperation in parliamentary activities.

Ricardo Patino Aroca also expressed Ecuadorean people’s love towardslate President Ho Chi Minh, saying that the President is a great examplefor them to follow.-VNA
