Vietnam receives flag to host ASIAN Beach Games 2016

Vietnam took a flag to feature its host of the fifth ASIAN Beach Games (ABG 5) at the closing ceremony of the ABG 4 in Saphan Hin Park, Phuket, Thailand on November 23.
Vietnam took a flag to feature its host of the fifth ASIAN Beach Games(ABG 5) at the closing ceremony of the ABG 4 in Saphan Hin Park, Phuket,Thailand on November 23.

ABG 5 is scheduled to take place inthe central cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang city from September 24 toOctober 3, 2016 with the participation of 4,000 athletes and coachesfrom 45 countries and territories.

At the event, athletes willalso seek a berth in the world’s first beach games, which would be heldin Barcelona (Spain) or Cannes (France) in 2017.

In ABG 4, Vietnam ranked 5th in the medal tally with eight gold, 12 silver and 20 bronze medals.-VNA

Vietnam, Laos strengthen ties through golf development

Le Xuan Thanh, Editor-in-Chief of the The Thao & Van Hoa Newspaper and head of the organising board, said the Music Devotion Awards has played a crucial role in recognising and promoting Vietnamese pop music for two decades. Since 2023, the awards expanded into sports, integrating a hybrid voting system that combines votes from journalists, experts, and the public.
