Vietnam records 14,839 COVID-19 cases on December 10

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 14,839 cases of COVID-19 in 57localities during 24 hours from 4pm December 9 to 4pm December 10, including 20imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Ho Chi Minh City continued to record the highest number of infections with 1,226,followed by Soc Trang with 894, and Tay Ninh with 893.

The national tally reached 1,382,272.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 7,681 patients nationwide are inserious conditions, with 849 requiring invasive ventilation and 14 on lifesupport (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 216 deaths from the disease. The death toll nowhits 27,402.

A further 1,362 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number ofrecoveries to 1,052,341.

By December 9, the country had injected over 130.93 million doses of vaccinesto date, with more than 56.38 million people now fully inoculated./.
