In the first two months of 2022, Vietnam earned 15.31million USD from shipping 8,220 tonnes of rubber to the RoK, up 7.9 percent invalue and 10.4 percent in volume year-on-year.
The market share of Vietnamese rubber accounted for 9.8percent in the RoK’s total import volume, a slight increase compared to the 8.8percent of the same period last year.
The department quoted data of the Korea Customs Service assaying that during January-February, the country imported 84,200 tonnes ofrubber worth 177.74 million USD, down 0.4 percent in volume, but up 8.6 percentin value.
Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, China and Japan are itsbiggest suppliers of rubber.
In the period, the RoK expanded its rubber imports fromThailand, with 32,280 tonnes worth 57.94 million USD, up 114.8 percent involume and 114.7 percent in value./.
