According to the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam currently has nearly 500 enterprises licensed to send workers to work abroad. In March, Vietnam sent a total of 9,494 workers abroad, more than 8.6 times higher than the same period in 2022.

The number of workers sent abroad increased as the COVID-19 pandemic is controlled.

Vietnamese workers have worked in countries such as Japan, Taiwan (China), and the Republic of Korea for a long time and are positively evaluated by employers for their skills.

In 2023, the ministry will also coordinate with agencies to negotiate labour cooperation agreements with European countries. It is expected that about 110,000 workers will be sent abroad this year./.
