Foreign Ministry spokesperson Luong Thanh Nghi on April 19 refuted anEuropean Parliament resolution on human rights in Vietnam.
Answering reporters’ queries on Vietnam ’s reaction to theresolution, dated on April 18, 2013, Nghi said the resolution hasprovided erroneous information and statement on the real situation ofhuman rights in Vietnam.
“The move goes againstthe trend of frank and open dialogue in the field of human rights whichhas been developed and conducted frequently between Vietnam and EUmechanisms, negatively affecting the development and the growingrelationship between Vietnam and the EU,” said Nghi.-VNA
