Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam attaches importance to defence
ties with Myanmar , said Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen Chi
Vinh at a reception in Hanoi on May 7 for outgoing Myanmar military, naval and
air force attaché Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo and newly-accredited attaché Brigadier
General Aung Zeya.
Vinh assured the guests that the Vietnamese Defence Ministry will always create favourable conditions for Aung Zeya to fulfill his assigned tasks.
He spoke highly of Aung Kyaw Oo’s contributions to boosting Vietnam – Myanmar defence ties during his tenure.
Aung Kyaw Oo, for his part, thanked the Vietnamese Defence Ministry for supporting him during his tenure.
Aung Zeya expressed his wish to contribute to Vietnam – Myanmar ties.-VNA
