Hanoi (VNA) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) have agreed to continue enhancing exchanges of experience and foster practical, effective cooperation within international organisations and multilateral forums.

The consensus was reached during a Hanoi meeting on September 2 between Politburo member and standing member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Vice President of the PSUV Jesús Faria, who led a PSUV and Venezuelan Government delegation to the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

Tu highly valued the presence of the delegation in the historic celebration, saying that their participation is a great source of encouragement, reflecting the close solidarity between the two Parties as well as the precious support of the Party, State and people of Venezuela for Vietnam’s national defence and construction.

He spoke highly of the positive development of bilateral relations in recent years, suggesting that the two sides continue to step up delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels through Party, State, National Assembly and people-to-people channels. They should effectively implement the deputy foreign minister-level political consultation and the Intergovernmental Committee mechanisms; and carry out cooperation documents already signed between the two Parties, States and Governments.
