As many as 100 businesses operating in various fields participated in aVietnam-Algeria business forum in Algiers on October 20.
At the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anhintroduced Vietnam’s investment policies and outlined the country’sstrengths and potential in producing, processing and exportingagricultural and aquacultural products.
He saidbusinesses from both countries can exploit the opportunities on offer byboosting their trade partnership for mutual benefit.
Updating participants on the major features of investment and themarket situation in Algeria, Ferroukhi Lyes, Director General ofthe Algeria National Investment Development Agency, stated thatVietnam can be a development role model to Algeria.
He said the Algerian Government is laying a firm foundation to buildsustainable industry, striving to get rid of its oil-based economy andrethinking its export policies to expand into new and promising markets.
During their stay, Deputy Minister Anh and hisdelegation held working sessions with the Algerian Ministries of ForeignAffairs, Industry and Investment Promotion and Commerce.-VNA
