Vietnamese companies penetrate Cambodian market

A trade fair showcasing Vietnamese and Cambodian industrial products will take place in the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh from December 15-18.
A trade fair showcasing Vietnamese and Cambodian industrial productswill take place in the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh fromDecember 15-18.

When addressing a press briefingon October 15, Vice Chairman of the HCM City Mechanical EngineeringAssociation, Pham Ngoc Tuan, said that the event will help Vietnamesebusinesses to promote their products and seek out new markets inCambodia .

With almost 350 stands, the fair isdivided into two themes, one of which is being run by the CambodianMinistry of Commerce, focusing on exports from Cambodian provinces.

The other will introduce international industrial products, not onlyfrom Vietnam and Cambodia but also from other countries such asJapan , Singapore , China and Thailand . The area will beadministered by the HCM City Mechanical Engineering Association and theDang Khoa Trade, Investment and Services Promotions Company.

At the event, Vietnamese products will be showcased in 100 stands,including mechanical engineering, information technology,transportation, construction and the biochemical’s industry.

According to the organising committee, the Vietnamese and Cambodiangovernments have signed a number of economic agreements, which havecreated the best possible conditions for Vietnamese businesses to expandtheir operations in the Cambodian market.

Marketsurveys in Cambodia showed Vietnamese products account for asubstantial amount of the country’s market share. However theavailability of industrial machinery and equipment is still limited./.

Hanoi targets 30,000 new enterprises in 2025

By the end of 2024, the number of registered enterprises in the capital city reached over 400,000, with about 220,000 operating. TH Group inaugurates large-scale dairy processing plant in Russia

The plant has a total capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, with the first phase producing 500 tonnes daily. All milk used at the plant is sourced from TH’s high-tech farms in the Moscow and Kaluga oblasts.
