On Mar. 7 the Prime Minister of Laos , Thongsing Thammavong, received adelegation from Vietnam ’s Ministry of Justice headed by Minister HaHung Cuong, in the capital city of Vientiane .
The PM thanked the delegation for their visit and said he believed thattheir trip will help to promote more cooperation and solidarity betweenboth ministries.
He said the talks between the twojustice ministries were extremely fruitful and promoted jointinitiatives on human resources training for Laos .
Laos is currently preparing for Laos-Vietnam Solidarity Year andacross the country the authorities are highlighting the specialrelationship that exists between both countries, especially to youngpeople. It is now 35 years since the signing of the Friendship andCooperation Treaty and 50 years of Vietnamese-Laotian diplomatic ties.
Cuong said that there has been an increase incooperation between both ministries, especially since the conference onjustice, attended by provinces lying on each side of the Vietnam-Laosborder. He stated that both Ministries of Justice have prioritised humanresources training to develop the justice system.
Earlier, the delegation held talks with Laos ’ Ministry of Justice,led by Minister Chaleune Yapaoher. They reviewed the outcomes of jointinitiatives in 2011 and put forward proposals for 2012.-VNA
