Vietnam’s National Day celebrated in Bangladesh

The Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a reception in the Bangladeshi capital city of Dhaka on Sept. 2 to mark the country’s 65th National Day (Sept. 2).

Prominentamong the guests were Bangladeshi State Minister for Ministry ofCultural Affairs, Promode Mankin, Minister of Industry Dipip Barua,Minister of Food and Disaster Management Abdur Razzak and Minister ofLand Rezaul Karim Hira and representatives of internationalorganisations and businesses.

Addressing theceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Van That underlined the achievementsVietnamese people have recorded over the past 65 years under theleadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which was set up by thelate President Ho Chi Minh.

He stressed on thesignificance of 2010, the year Vienam assumes ASEAN Chair and celebratesthe 1,000 th anniversary of the capital city of Thang Long-Hanoi .

The Vietnamese diplomat took the occasion to thankthe government and people of Bangladesh for their support to Vietnamduring the country’s struggle for national liberation as well as thepresent cause of national construction and development.

For his part, Minister Promode Mankin thanked Vietnam for itssupports during his country’s fights\ for independence and construction.

Vietnam is always a bright example forBangladesh in the struggle for national independence as well as indevelopment, he said.

On this occasion, VietnameseEmbassy organised a painting exhibition featuring the land and people ofVietnam and released supplements on several Bangladeshi newspapersfeaturing Vietnam and the capital city of Hanoi./.
