This achievement comes after more than a year of VinFast holding its position as the best-selling car brand in the Vietnamese market, creating a significant lead over other automakers.

Hanoi (VNA) - VinFast automobile manufacturing complex in the northern port city of Hai Phong on December 31 marked a major milestone by rolling out its 200,000th electric car of the year.

This achievement comes after more than a year of VinFast holding its position as the best-selling car brand in the Vietnamese market, creating a significant lead over other automakers.

The 200,000 vehicles produced in 2025 at the VinFast Hai Phong factory are for both domestic sales and exports to international markets.

The 200,000th vehicle to roll off the production line this year was the all-electric 7-seat MPV model Limo Green. In November 2025 alone, the Limo Green achieved a record monthly sales figure of 9,642 units, the highest monthly sales for any model to date.

In December 2025, the year-end peak production phase saw the VinFast Hai Phong factory operating at full capacity, with nearly 26,000 vehicles completed in just one month. Production peaked on December 14, 2025, when the factory reached an output of 1,062 vehicles in a single day, equivalent to an average of nearly 43 cars per hour. This level of capacity is considered comparable to many leading gigafactory-style automotive plants worldwide.

This remarkable result comes from the Hai Phong factory’s highly optimised production capabilities, with more than 1,200 modern ABB robots, approximately 90% automated processes, and a workforce of over 18,000 personnel working in flexible three-shift schedules. The intelligent manufacturing system helps VinFast ensure both high output and strict quality standards.

Trinh Van Ngan, Global Vice President of Production at VinFast, emphasised that rolling out 200,000 electric vehicles in 2025 is an important foundation for the company to confidently pursue more ambitious goals.

As of the end of November 2025, VinFast had sold a total of 147,450 electric cars of various models, maintaining its absolute leading position in the domestic market. With record production output in December, VinFast is expected to close 2025 with the highest sales and market share in the history of Vietnam’s automotive industry.

In addition to the Hai Phong manufacturing complex, in 2025, VinFast also brought three new factories into operation in Ha Tinh (Vietnam), Tamil Nadu (India), and West Java (Indonesia). The expansion of its production network into key markets demonstrates the strong globalisation strategy of the Vietnamese automaker and lays a solid foundation for long-term growth plans in the coming years./.
