Vietnam wants the World Health Organisation (WHO) to continuehelping it improve capacity of the health sector, said Foreign MinisterPham Binh Minh.
FM Minh received new WHO representative to Vietnam Takeshi Kasai in Hanoi on Apr. 5.
Minhexpressed his hope that WHO will continue to assist Vietnam infighting infectious and non-infectious diseases and dealing withnutrition and food safety and hygiene issues.
Takeshi Kasai expressed his impression about Vietnam ’s achievements in socio-economic development, including healthcare.
Hesaid that WHO considers Vietnam as one of the nations of itsprioritised cooperation and affirmed that he will coordinate with theVietnamese government in implementing the Vietnam-WHO CooperationProgramme in 2012-2013.-VNA
