VN, China discuss measures to deepen ties

The fifth session of theSteering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation in Hanoi onSept. 6, reviewed the two countries’ bilateral relations over the recentpast and highlighted the role of the Steering Committee since it wasestablished in 2006.

Both sides agreed to enhance and improve the committee’s mechanism in the future.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues relating to territory and border, including disputes in the East Sea.

The session was co-chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and Chinese State Councillor Dai Bingguo.

Earlier,two secretaries general of the Steering Committee and representativesof the two countries’ relevant ministries, branches and localities heldpreparatory sessions on Sept. 5 and the morning of Sept. 6. The sessionstook place in a frank, friendly and constructive spirit./.

Vietnamese, Lao foreign ministers hold online talks

10th session helps strengthen public trust in personnel work, NA’s supreme oversight

Personnel consolidation carried out at the NA's 10th session helps ensure continuous, unified, effective, and efficient leadership of the state apparatus; guarantee smooth and uninterrupted direction and governance; and prevent any leadership gaps in critical areas. All positions elected or approved by the legislature meet the key criteria required within the organisational structure.
