Kon Tum (VNA) – As many as 27 wild animals were released into their natural habitat on January 11 by the Wildlife Rescue and Protection Centre at the Chu Mom Ray National Park in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.

The animals include nine monkeys, 12 turtles, pythons, civets and iguanas, among others.

Most of the animals were rescued from illegal traders in the locality and were sent to the park in weak conditions.  Some of the animals have been in the park’s care since 2016.

In the last two years, the centre returned 153 wild animals to the forest.-VNA
