Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency.

– President To Lam on June 10 offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a temple located at the Pac Bo special national relic site in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, as part of his working trip to the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang.

The President and his entourage expressed their gratitude to the late leader, who devoted his entire life to the struggle for national liberation and reunification, along with freedom and happiness of the Vietnamese people. Read full story

– The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE), in collaboration with the People’s Committee of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, held a ceremony on June 10 to launch the Vietnam Sea and Islands Week and the Action Month for the Environment.

The launch aims to respond to the World Oceans Day (June 8) and World Environment Day (June 5). Read full story

– The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection on June 10 signed a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation following a meeting between their leaders on June 10.

Receiving Minister Hout Hak in Hanoi, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong expressed his belief that the document will create a foundation for the two sides to enhance their cooperation in the time ahead. Read full story

– Vietnam and North Macedonia have enjoyed sound relations over the past 30 years with fruitful results seen in all cooperation areas, said Vietnamese Ambassador to the Southeast European country Do Hoang Long.

Since the two sides set up their diplomatic relations on June 10, 1994, Vietnam and North Macedonia have maintained sound friendship and high mutual trust. Read full story

- So far this year, Vietnam has shipped abroad 114,424 tonnes of pepper worth 493.1 million USD, down 13.2 in volume but up 20.6% in value over the same period last year.

The average export price of black pepper is 4,197 USD per tonne and white pepper, 5,804 USD per tonne, up 754 USD and 849 USD respectively compared to the same period in 2023. Read full story

- An art programme was held in Paris last weekend to mark the 15th founding anniversary of Que huong (Homeland) Choir, the largest and only Vietnamese-languague singing choir overseas.

Born in April 2009, the choir aims to gather Vietnamese people with the same passion for singing and loving revolutionary songs. It now has 250 members of different age groups. Read full story

- Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has signed a decision on the organisation of a nationwide rural and agricultural census, which will begin on July 1 next year, aiming to gather comprehensive data on various aspects, including the current status of agro-forestry-fishery production, rural conditions, and rural residents.

The monthlong work's preliminary results will be released in December the same year, and official ones in March 2026. Specialised analytical reports will be published in July 2026. Read full story./.
