- Party General Secretary To Lam on June 23 held a working session with the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and central mass organisations, during which he urged the front and the organisations to enhance public consensus for the successful implementation of the revolution of streamlining the political system’s organisational apparatus and reorganisation of administrative units.

The VFF and affiliated organisations should promote their political core role by stepping up communications, uniting people at home and abroad, mobilising all resources, and igniting creativity to implement the “four pillar resolutions” of the Politburo (Resolutions 57, 59, 66, and 68), the Party chief said. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on June 23 chaired a national teleconference to review the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement in the first half of 2025 and conclude the peak combat campaign.

In his opening remarks, PM Chinh emphasised that over the past month, various forces, especially the police, military, coast guard, and market surveillance agencies, have simultaneously launched operations, continuously investigating and dismantling numerous serious and particularly serious cases, especially those involving the production and trade of counterfeit goods such as milk, medicine, food, medical equipment, and products suspected of infringing on well-known trademarks, as well as the production and sale of prohibited items. - The exhibition on 80-year national achievements must vividly portray Vietnam’s journey of safeguarding and building the nation, while inspiring national pride and aspiration as the country enters a new development era, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on June 23.

Chairing a meeting with ministry and sector leaders on preparations for the exhibition, to be held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945–2025), the PM stressed that the event must be designed to serve the public’s cultural needs and introduce Vietnam’s progress to international friends. - Vietnam ranked as the 8th largest export market of Singapore with an export turnover of more than 11.7 billion SGD (9.06 billion USD) in the first five months of this year, four places higher than that of the same period last year, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The ministry cited data from Enterprise Singapore as reporting that in May 2025, total import-export turnover between the two countries reached more than 3.16 billion SGD, up 27.76% year-over-year. Exports from Vietnam to Singapore continued to grow well with a turnover of 869.3 million SGD, up 27.1%, while import turnover grew by 28.02%, reaching nearly 2.3 billion SGD. Read full story

- The Humanitarian Month 2025 has provided support for over 1.5 million people nationwide, exceeding its original target by 290%, to the tune of more than 709 billion VND (nearly 28 million USD), 77% higher than the planned goal.

According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC), this year’s campaign provided long-term aid for 3,785 individuals and organisations. Support included houses, clean water systems, school meal facilities, books, and livelihood assistance, with a total value of more than 118 billion VND. Read full story

A quick search for “Vietnam is calling” on TikTok reveals a myriad of clips capturing the excitement of visitors setting off for Vietnam, with short videos showing tourists holding their passports, wheeling their suitcases through airports or exploring Vietnam’s scenic landscapes, diverse cuisine and unique culture - all set to upbeat, catchy soundtracks. The dispatch states that in implementing Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW dated April 2, 2026 of the 14th Party Central Committee on the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, national finance, public debt management and medium-term public investment, linked to the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth, the Government on April 29 issued 11 resolutions on cutting, decentralising and simplifying administrative procedures, business conditions, and conditional business lines. The Prime Minister subsequently directed ministries, agencies and localities to implement these resolutions.

Vietnamese, Angolan foreign ministers hold talks in Hanoi
