- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Kuwait from November 16-18, made at the invitation of his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, will help open a new stage of development in bilateral relations, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to the Middle East country Nguyen Duc Thang.
Thang affirmed that the visit carries great significance, not only for the bilateral relations but also as a reaffirmation of Vietnam’s foreign policy towards the region as a whole. Read full story
- A delegation from the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) led by its Deputy Auditor General Doan Anh Tho attended the 8th ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) Summit in Singapore on November 13.
The SAV reaffirmed its active role in regional cooperation, particularly as Chair of the ASEANSAI Strategic Planning Committee. At the summit, the Vietnamese delegation presented ASEANSAI Strategic Plan for 2026–2029; the 2025 annual performance report of ASEANSAI’s committees and Secretariat, and the committee’s 2026–2027 work plan, which are seen as instrumental in advancing ASEANSAI’s strategic development orientations for the new term. - The technical-level round of negotiations on a balanced and fair reciprocal trade agreement between Vietnam and the US is taking place as planned from November 12 – 14.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and deputy head of the Government’s negotiating team Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan on November 12 morning met with Deputy United States Trade Representative Rick Switzer in the US to launch the technical negotiation sessions. - A business networking forum aimed at strengthening cooperation between Vietnamese and Indonesian enterprises in food, beverages, and the high-potential Halal market was held in Jakarta on November 13, on the sidelines of SIAL InterFOOD 2025.
Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Ho Thi Quyen and Vietnam’s Trade Counsellor in Indonesia Pham The Cuong highlighted Indonesia’s market potential. With nearly 300 million people, most of whom are Muslims, Indonesia is a promising market for Vietnamese farm produce, processed food, and Halal-certified products. Read full story
- Hanoi’s tourism sector continued its strong recovery and growth trajectory in the first ten months of 2025, welcoming more than 28.22 million visitors, up nearly 22% year-on-year, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.
Speaking at the city’s monthly press briefing held on November 13, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang said that of the total arrivals, international visitors reached 6.17 million, up 23.6%, while domestic tourists numbered 22.05 million, rising 21.4%. - Vietnamese Professor Nguyen Xuan Mung, who is currently working at Sejong University, has been granted Korean citizenship under the Ministry of Justice’s Multiple Citizenship for Outstanding Talent (MCOT) initiative.

- Two kidney transplants using organs from a brain-dead donor have been carried out at the Can Tho Central General Hospital for patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease, the first such cases performed in the Mekong Delta.
The two kidneys were among five organs, including the heart, liver, kidneys and corneas, donated by a man from Can Tho city who passed away following a traffic accident./. Read full story
