Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh described the first Autumn Fair 2025 as a vivid and convincing reflection of Vietnam’s mindset of integration, aspirations for breakthroughs, and growing stature in the new era.

The fair, themed “Connecting People with Production and Business”, officially opened at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi, on the evening of October 25.

Running from October 25 to November 4, the event marks the largest trade promotion activity ever held in Vietnam. Beyond its scale, the fair serves as a cultural showcase, linking Vietnam’s creative industries and production sectors while celebrating national identity and the spirit of innovation. It follows the resounding success of the exhibition “80-year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, which highlighted national achievements and inspired patriotism and self-reliance.

Covering more than 130,000 square metres, the fair features around 3,000 booths across five themed zones. Visitors can enjoy diverse exhibitions, cultural performances, art shows, and food experiences that promote Vietnam’s regions and industries.

The event brings together 34 localities, ministries and central agencies, over 2,500 domestic and foreign enterprises, and numerous international partners seeking to connect, trade, and explore investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, PM Chinh commended the organisers for their efficiency and creativity in delivering an event of such magnitude within a short preparation period. Despite high requirements and a wide scope of work, the fair achieved what he called “six bests”, including largest scale, most modern space, richest product range, highest quality, most attractive activities, and best incentive policies.

According to the PM, the Autumn Fair 2025 stands as persuasive evidence of Vietnam’s integration mindset, outstanding capabilities, aspirations for breakthroughs, and stature in the new era. It also symbolises the solidarity, creativity, strong determination, great efforts, and drastic action of the Government, ministries, sectors, localities, the business community, entrepreneurs, and people of Vietnam.

He added that the event is not only about setting new records but also about creating opportunities to promote trade, investment, tourism, and culture in harmony. It is where domestic and international resources converge, where cooperation expands, trade accelerates, and consumption is stimulated. The fair offers visitors not only quality Vietnamese products but also an immersive experience of the country’s rich cuisine, culture, and arts.

He noted that the fair will also serve as an important bridge for Vietnamese enterprises to strengthen international economic integration, exchange experiences, and access new technologies, particularly in digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, and knowledge economy.

The PM emphasised that Autumn Fair 2025 is both an economic and cultural milestone, with significance extending beyond the national level. It honours distinctive Vietnamese brands and products, encourages domestic consumption under the spirit of “Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods”, foster business networking, investment, and integration into the world, thereby contributing to the realisation of the economic growth target of over 8% for 2025 and double-digit expansion for the following years.

The Autumn Fair 2025 is a national-scale economic and cultural event assigned by the Government to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee, and other ministries and localities.

Throughout its 11-day duration, the fair is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors daily, underscoring its appeal as a major highlight in Vietnam’s annual calendar of trade and investment promotion events./.
