Ba Ria - VungTau (VNA) – The Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial People’s Committee andthe government of the Republicof Bashkortostan, Russia, have signed cooperation agreements and an action planbetween the two localities.
The documents were signed by Bashkortostan’sPrime Minister Rustem Mardanov and Chairman of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’sCommittee Nguyen Van Trinh in the Vietnamese southern province on January 12.
Bashkortostan’s economy isstrong in agriculture, tourism, education and training in oil and gas industry,which is similar to that of Ba Ria Vung Tau, making a positive ground for thetwo localities to cooperate, said PM Mardanov.
Deputy Minister of ForeignAffairs Nguyen Thanh Son said that Bashkortostan wants to boost multi-facetedcooperation with Ba Ria Vung Tau, especially in oil and gas, tourism, andhi-tech agriculture.
The same day, a workshop onthe potential and advantages of the two localities and cooperationopportunities was held.-VNA
