Binh Dinh to house international science centre

The International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), a venue for scientists at home and abroad, will be opened in Quy Nhon city, the central province of Binh Dinh, on August 12.

It was informed by the organising board of the ninth “Meet Vietnam”programme at a press conference in Quy Nhon city on August 5.

The inauguration ceremony is expected to see the presence of DeputyPrime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and 230 scientists, including fiveNobel laureates.

It will be followed by Vietnam’sfirst international physics workshop, during which Nobel laureates Prof.Sheldon Glashow from the US and Prof. Klaus von Klitzing from Germanywill present their latest studies on particle physics, astrophysics andcosmology.-VNA
