The Vice-Chair of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) has said the bombing incidents in Bangkok will only stir short-term effects, adding that all sides should help each other in assuring investor's confidence.

Vice-Chair of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Wichai Autrassakorn said during his special lecture on the ‘Waking up the energy for Thailand’ in Trat province regarding the recent bombing incidents in Bangkok, that the incidents will inevitably affect the Thai economy. However he expects the effects to be short-term.

He has said that the tourism sector is likely to be affected most from this situation, before adding that Thai tourism has conquered various crises similar to this incident. He highlighted the most concerning matter is foreign investor's confidence which must be regained through the efforts from all sides.

The TCC Vice-Chair stated that the business sector will not place this responsibility on the government, iterating that all sides must work together in driving forward the Thai economy towards recovery as quickly as possible.-VNA
