A week-long border trade fairin the northwestern province of Son La to promote trade andtourism exchanges with Laos ended on October 23, attracting tens ofthousands of visitors.
More than 100 businesses from Son Laand Hoa Binh provinces, Hai Phong city and Laos’ Houaphanh andOudomxay provinces brought to the fair a wide range of products fromgarment, electronic products, household goods, foodstuff to farmingtools and telecommunications services.
The event was a goodvenue for the two sides’ enterprises to bolster trade promotion, marketexpansion and the linkage between them and local retailers.
The fair also helped residents in the border areas access quality goods at reasonable prices.
During the fair, local people also had chances to introduce theiragricultural and brocade products as well as boost the export of theirspecialties to the Lao market.-VNA
