Berlin (VNA) – The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in Europe was officially established in Berlin on February 28, aiming to connect Vietnamese business communities across the continent and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
At the launch ceremony, held at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and linked online to multiple European locations, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh praised the initiative, emphasising its role in strengthening ties between Vietnam and Europe.
He highlighted the association’s potential to support Vietnam’s economic growth and enhance cooperation amid Vietnam-EU efforts to elevate relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The association seeks to connect both Vietnamese-owned businesses in Europe and Vietnam-based enterprises investing in the region. It features advisory boards and specialised committees focused on business, investment, technology, legal affairs, and international cooperation.
Deputy Director of the National Innovation Centre (NIC), Do Tien Thinh, noted the association’s alignment with Vietnam’s drive for economic transformation and administrative reforms. He expressed his hope for collaboration in innovation and business expansion from Europe to global markets and back to Vietnam.
Newly elected President Tran Ha My outlined the association’s vision as a bridge for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe, contributing to technology transfer, foreign investment, and policy advocacy.
She emphasised the need to enhance the presence of Vietnamese businesses in both economic and political spheres.
The association aims to organise annual flagship events, monthly networking sessions with European partners, and diplomatic engagement through embassies, fostering stronger Vietnam-Europe business ties./.
