Hanoi (VNA) - Top members of the Brazil-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group in 2017-2019 have professed their hopes to bolster relations between their country and Vietnam.
The new leaders of the group were announced at a ceremony on September 27.
Senate Speaker Eunicio Oliveira and President of the Chamber of Deputies Rodrigo Maia are the group’s honourary chairmen, while Congresswoman Jo Moraes is the head of the group’s executive board.
They all pledged to work with the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil in holding activities to popularise cooperation and business opportunities and support the embassy in conducting trips in Brazil.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Do Ba Khoa hoped that the group would help deepen the two countries’ relations.-VNA
