Da Nang (VNA) – A vessel of the Royal Brunei Navy arrived at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang onOctober 2, beginning a three-day friendship visit to the central city.
The KDB Daruttaqwa,skippered by Commander Mohammad Azrin Bin Haji Mahmud and carrying 76 officersand crew members on board, will visit the city from October 2-4.
The ship was welcomedby representatives from the city’s Department of External Affairs, border guardforce and military command; the Commands of the fifth Military Region and the thirdNaval Region, and the Defence Ministry’s Department of Exteral Relations.
The Bruneian navalofficers will pay courtesy calls to the Commands of the fifth Military Regionand the third Naval Region, as well as leaders of the city’s People’sCommittee. They will also exchange experience and take part in a friendlyfootball match with Vietnamese officers.
The visit aims tostrengthen friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the twocountries’ armies and people.
Last month, Tien SaPort also welcomed the HMCS Calgary ship and the MV Asterix commercialcontainer ship of the Royal Canadian Navy which paid a five-day visit to DaNang. –VNA
Japan Coast Guard ship starts Vietnam visit
Japan Coast Guard Training Vessel, the Kojima, with 80 officers and crew members on board, docked at Tien Sa Port, the central coastal city of Da Nang on July 24 to begin a five-day visit to Vietnam.
