Cambodia and Laos have vowed to further strengthen their bilateral relations and cooperation for the benefit of their people.
The statement was made during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and visiting Lao President Choummaly Sayasone in Phnom Penh on February 26.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his delight at the fruitful results of the two countries’ relations and cooperation, Eang Sophalleth, Spokesman for Hun Sen, told reporters after the meeting.
The Prime Minister proposed that the two sides should continue maintaining and further boosting their cooperation for mutual interests.
On his part, Choummaly stressed the importance of further enhancing bilateral ties and cooperation in all fields.
He praised Cambodia for its rapid socio-economic development over the past decade since his first visit to the country in 2007.
