Cambodia launches Industrial Development Policy for next decade
Cambodia launched an Industrial Development Policy for 2015-2025 on Aug. 26, which targets to increase the gross domestic product share of the industrial sector to 30 percent by 2025.

The policy also boosts import-export activities with a focus on raising the export of processed agricultural products to 12 percent.
Speaking at the ceremony, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said that to make the policy a success, the country has to tighten connections between politics and economics while reducing electricity tariffs, developing a plan for transportation and logistics, strengthening labour and skills training and turning Sihanoukville province into a multi-purpose special economic zone.
He asked the Council for the Development of Cambodia to increase the capacity of its staff, improve administrative management and intensify communications to encourage youth to engage in the sector.
The PM also called for joint efforts to make Cambodia a developed country by 2030.-VNA
