Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam exported 5.37 million tonnes of cement and clinker in the first two months of 2019, raking in 228 million USD, year-on-year increases of 7.4 percent in volume and 29.9 percent in value.
The materials were mainly shipped to Southeast Asian nations.
The Philippines remains the biggest importer of Vietnamese cement and clinker, with 778,200 tonnes, up 33.98 percent against that of January last year.
Notably, strong growth in exports of these building materials was seen Australia, with nearly 26,000 tonnes valued at 1.3 million USD, 42 times more in volume and 18.2 times in value compared to the same period last year.-VNA
