The project, with an investment capital of nearly 1.5 trillion VND (71.4 million USD) is being carried out by the HCM City Infrastructure & Investment Joint Stock Company.
The 987m long, 23.5m wide, four-lane bridge will run parallel with the current Saigon Bridge . It is scheduled to be completed in 21 months.
The new bridge will reduce the volume of traffic on the existing bridge, which was built over five decades ago.-VNA
