Hanoi, (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 3,618 cases ofCOVID-19 on October 21, including 18 imported cases, according to the Ministryof Health.
HCM City still recorded the highest number ofinfections with 1,255, followed by neighbouring Binh Duong province with 483 andDong Nai province with 390.
The national tally now stands at 877,537.
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 3,041 patientsnationwide are in serious conditions, with 381 requiring invasiveventilation and 20 on life support (ECMO).
On the day, the country saw 71 deaths from thedisease. The death toll now hits 21,487.
A further 1,541 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number ofrecoveries to 798,124.
By October 20, the country had injected over 68.8million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 19.45 million peoplenow fully inoculated./.
