Da Nang (VNA) – An e-commerce exchange of central Da Nang city, available at danangtrade.com.vn or danangtrade.gov.vn, made debut on May 9 with a view to helping local businesses introduce their products to consumers and business partners.
The exchange aims to connect companies in the central city and the region, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), via the Internet. It is expected to assist firms to solve issues relating to material supply, machinery, technology, finance, legal aid, and business governance, while helping to provide manpower training, e-commerce solutions, and logistics services.
Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Ha Bac said the strong growth of e-commerce has considerably changed traditional business models. E-commerce has been appearing in all business and life aspects and become an important tool for local firms to reduce advertising costs and seek markets and partners, he added.
However, Bac noted, Vietnamese businesses, especially SMEs, have yet to fully capitalise on e-commerce or have much information about their markets, partners and customers. They also lack connectivity with other firms in the same industry and haven’t been widely known among consumers.
To major businesses, while brand communication is essential, how to diversify supply sources and optimise potential partners and customers is a problem in an expanding markets.
Bac expressed his belief that the e-commerce exchange of Da Nang will become a modern, professional and friendly business solution, helping to bring local enterprises’ brands, products and services to partners and consumers.
He also called for businesses’ support to turn the exchange into a prestigious destination for brand advertising.-VNA
